ACPIMSFT0101 Device Driver Fix Released
Hotfix Available for Windows 7 64-Bit
Driver Issue Resolved
A new hotfix has been released by Microsoft to address an issue with the ACPIMSFT0101 device driver. This hotfix is only applicable to Windows 7 64-bit systems and resolves an issue where the AMD HDMI audio driver could not be installed on 32-bit systems. After installing the hotfix, users should run the installation wizard to complete the driver installation process.
In addition to addressing the AMD HDMI audio driver issue, the hotfix also resolves a problem with an unknown device called ACPIMSFT0101. Microsoft recommends that users switch to Windows 7 64-bit to resolve this issue, as there is currently no available driver for Windows 7 32-bit.
To install the hotfix:
- Download the hotfix from the Microsoft website.
- Run the hotfix installation wizard.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
After installing the hotfix, restart your computer to complete the installation process.
