Early Life and Career
Luka Dončić was born on February 28, 1999, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. At 201 cm (6'7"), he plays as a point guard or shooting guard for the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. He began his professional career at age 16 with Spanish club Real Madrid.
NBA Success
Dončić was drafted third overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA Draft but was traded to the Mavericks. He quickly became a star, winning the Rookie of the Year award in 2019 and leading the Mavericks to the playoffs for the first time in three years.
